Unlike grades 304 or even alloy 316, sulfuric acid, which is a highly corrosive solution, has a minimal effect on the DIN 1.4539 Flat Bar between a temperature range of 35℃ to 40℃. Sulfuric acid, an oxidative acid can dissolve metals such as copper. In a concentrated condition, if exposed to water, the hygroscopic nature of this acid causes an exothermic reaction, which in turn is corrosive to many metals. Since the ASTM B649 type 904L Rod is relatively unaffected by this acid, it could be safely used for the transportation as well as the storage in sulfuric acid processing units. In addition to sulfuric acid, the UNS N08904 Hex Bar is not susceptible to decay in either organic or inorganic acids. Yet the same cannot be said for acids that contain halides. Acids that contain halide ions are highly aggressive and can easily corrode SS 904L Square Bar, which is why it is safer to use duplex stainless steel for those particular applications.

Stainless Steel 904L Stripes are made using nickel, chromium, and copper. It

Stainless Steel 904L has physical properties like elastic modulus, the mean
coefficient of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity and electrical
resistivity. It also shows mechanical properties like tensile and yield
strength and elongation. This alloy has resistant to chloride attack and
warm seawater. Due to the presence of nickel, this alloy is highly resistant
to stress corrosion cracking. It also has good resistance against oxidation.
This alloy loses some toughness at high temperatures. It has some good
